remember, even though the dirtbike won't have the same speed at the top it's goit a pregnant doging bottom end.

also, with that suspension you can go straight hooligan and pass people on the shoulder even if it's not paved. so long as you have the correct tires. (and sometimes when you don't)
when you start kicking the ass end out and feel the evil coming out then you will know that you are the one making the descisions.

kinda like riding a much, much lighter version of your KTM that you don't care as much about dropping.

ML, my $0.02...keep the 999.  Take it to the track.  Do your speed demon thing *at the track*.  Ride prudently / defensively on the street.

There's a good argument for the track.  The problem there is I'm lucky to do one a year at this point.  And now that I have the shop to work on, track days are pretty much out.

I also can't stomach having that much money into a bike I only ride at the track.  It's too much cash potential sitting there doing nothing.

In 10-15 years when the rest of us have used up, thrown down, or otherwise destroyed ours, yours will fetch a pretty penny.
