I'm all for the move
I've experienced that need to just say make the beast with two backs it all, erase everything and start fresh.
Have you considered selling everything (that you don't need) and pulling a DanTheMan? Couch surf across the country for a while?

that actually kinda is my plan.
the selling of stuff is already taking place.
it'll be a few months before i can pack it in and go as i would prefer to pay off my debt before i go.
so it'll probably be in the middle of winter when i'm faced with the reality of what i am about to do and freak out about it
