I searched for 145 and didn't score so sorry if it's a dupe.  It's also a link
to another car board I've lurked/posted at for a long time.

I can't wait until Marquez gets on his level and makes Jorge trip on his tampon string.

ThankX, I did take the post at face value from the other forum.
Surfing on company time I can't be too thorough.

No biggie.

My biggest beef is just with this guy being a tool on 2 wheels. Every time something like this happens, it looks bad for all motorcyclists. ESPECIALLY those of us who don't drive like total shite.

Suspended cage license which leads to no cage license. No moto endorsement. And to top it all off, he's holding. Awesome.

We had a couple of guys who work on base (I'm in the Navy) get pulled over for some similarly stupid shit last year. They lost their security clearance, base driving privileges, and the option of reenlisting. On top of all that, SPECIFICALLY because of them, all other motorcycle riders on base had to attend mandatory safety training. One guy make the beast with two backss up and we all pay for it.

It was only a ninja ZX-6. I was really expecting it to be a 620 Capirex.  ;D

it's a shame it only works this way.

never hear anybody say "every time this happens, it makes all us car drivers look bad."

Not Just On base... it was across the board... a friend of mine's wife is still active duty and she was required to take it too

The Military Sportbike-Rider's Course is an all-forces affair, and not a bad afternoon on the range.

What I was referring to is that everyone on our base was required to go through the equivalent of the MSF BRC classroom portion AGAIN because two assholes were racing.

I'm trying to become an MSF Rider coach. What's better than spending 2-3 days a month teaching people to ride a motorcycle? Oh, yeah, getting a huge break on your moto insurance rates.  [thumbsup]

Though it was a long time ago, if my memory serves, that is precisely the military way, is it not?

Yep, still applies.

Military sportbike-rider's course? hmmm, haven't heard of it here on the air force side. I had the chance to be a riding coach at my last base, but I had to PCS, so no-go. sucks.  ~$100 a day to teach the MSF basic course is not bad.

Maybe its just Navy and Marine Corps. Either way, the Sportbike Rider's Course was a pretty good time. They get you leaning off the bike while doing 20mph or so. Only real downside is that the concrete on the flight line chews up tires like crazy. And it was too short.

Valid. Except it wasn't a Ducati.

Details here.

Last year, the Legislature increased the fine for traveling more than 35 mph above a posted speed limit from $200 to $300, not including court costs. The change also increased the number of points taken off the person's driver's license to four. A loss of 12 points in any two-year period can result in license revocation.

that would be nice, 35+ over here would not be pretty

Here, 30+ is criminal speeding.

6 mos in jail.

6 mos is a long time.
