Hello. I'm looking for a more aggressive riding stance on my 696. So from your guys' perspective, do you think that the Rizoma clip-ons for the older Monsters will fit on the 696? It would be sweet to have those mounted up on my bike. Thanks.

Nope.  The triples have a different config from the previous generation of monsters to the 696/1100.  Wait a bit and I'd wager Rizoma will make something...

Oh that sucks. They look about the same to me, but then again, I haven't had the chance to compare the older Monsters' and the M696's upper triple clamp in person.

Oh well. Might as well just wait for Rizoma to make some....Or get some under triple clip-ons like the Swatt with a 3.5 inch rise. One thing that worries me much about the Swatt clip-ons is the headlight clearance. The lines look long enough to not have to be rerouted though, But I could be wrong.

Any 696 owners here have clip-ons installed? Did you run into and clearance issues with the headlights and lines?

It looks like they fit because he's using a non stock headlight. On the 696 there's like a 1/3 of an inch clearance between the fork and stock headlight, which isn't very much room. It would make LOTS of sense for Rizoma to make a triple tree with clipon mounting for the 696/1100.

But yeah.. I'd love to try on a pair of riser clipons on my 696.

No offense, but hamsandwich's clip-ons are ape hangers. Here's another variation, but see if you can spot what's missing: http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=11215.0

Fact is that even with the 3.5" Swatts your grips will be about 2 inches lower than stock position.

Most of the Swatt riser effect is consumed by the distance from "under the triple position", the eliminated stock rise and the eliminated stock bar rise - then add/subtract the downward angle of clip ons.
