intersting facts on aluminum tanks; rare and collectable!

Q - How many aluminum tanks were made and how many were purchased in N America? (lets see if Dave R can answer that one ...

I saw a mouto guzzi with a polished aluminum tank; its looked very nice ... makes sens to have aluminum tanks; why dont manufactures do this more often? (Plastic is cheeper and weight is about the same no doubt)

plastic is 10x heavier. aluminum is$$$ to shape because it needs to be done by hand. i mpretty sure you can stamp them out though.

i had a road racing tank. shit was the bombz!!!!
