If you drive the nicest car in the neighborhood, work in a cash business, and don't pay taxes, you're either a preacher or a drug dealer...

What do you wear fighting fires?

How about picking up a slightly used Tag?

Prices on those are quite good.

ahhh, ok, didn't know what your price range was as some of the Seikos can get up above 500$.

Don't pick up a fake Tag in Vietnam......Fits your price range (much less actually), but will quit working as soon as you leave  the country.
996 forks, BoomTubes, frame sliders, CRG bar-end mirrors, vizitech integrated tail light, rizoma front turn signals, rizoma grips, cycle cat multistrada clip ons, pantah belt covers - more to come

Hard to tell with a photo 'cause the photo could be of the real deal stolen from the interwebs. In person, fit and finish typically jump right out at you.  Faces that move, dates that don't fit well in the date window, sharp/rough edges, etc.

Not sure what you other options are, but I don't like large watches. I wear a Skagen...

I have a titanium Skagen that I love. Their watches are very nice and right in the price range. Super slim.

McFry...  give this site a look:  http://www.onthedash.com/  Go down the sidebar and click on "gallery of fakes"

It's more pertinent to vintage Heuers but it should give you an idea of things to look for in a fake.

It's like I keep saying:  Those who would sacrifice a free range session for a giant beer, deserve neither free range time nor a giant beer.

Fake.

Look at his pumped feedback.

On ebay here is what can happen.  You can get a real one for cheap, but they will be "new" 7-8 years old. They just sat in boxes somewhere. This can cause problems in kinetics as the capacitor on earlier generations  go bad after 6-7 years.

Super T.I.B

I got my Seiko titanium off fleabay around 3 years ago, hasn't missed a beat & it's a real one. Really light, sometimes I forget that it's on my arm.  :P

Usually you can tell a fake by trying to see what is stamped on the back of the watch. Serial number etc.

causeofkaos

Tag H is way overrated when they first came out they cost in the 100 to 300 range, they didnt sell they started adding an extra zero at the end of the price 1000, 3000 and they went like hot cakes
I currently have 3 Gshocks, Swiss Army pocket watch and my Omega speedmaster chrono automatic <- my fave
Gshock has some neat dress up style stuff.
Favorite convo i read on this board
"PICS OR IT DIDNT HAPPEN"
