That's just it, Mitt...too many people DON'T realize what got us where we are. They want to play the blame game instead of cinching their belts, hunkering down, and getting to work. I see it in my sister and her husband when they blame everyone else instead of themselves when they KNEW they couldn't afford a $700,000 house on the salary of a teacher and an IBM salesman with 4 kids. But they felt they were OWED that kind of house.

I don't own much. But what I have is paid for. What I go to the store and say I would really like that, I pay for. And if I can't pay for it, then I save, work harder, and buy it when I can. I don't feel like I am OWED the 55 inch LCD I picked up last week. My sister and her family on the other hand think they deserve the Tommy Hilfiger and Dolce and Gabanna. And I think they deserve the shit storm of repossession and bankruptcy that is rapidly bearing down on them. I love them to death and I will be here when they need me but I absolutely refuse to validate their sense of entitlement by even remotely feeling sorry for them.

and...while people are busy be'n pissed  at those evil capitalist banking bastards... they happily shell out 10 bucks of their hard earned cash just to buy a 16oz beer and another 15 bucks for a hotdog at Dodger stadium, just to watch  a guy get paid 45 mil to play a game. Those same people pregnant dog about the cost of their kids school lunch, then turn right around and go to watch a movie where the actor in it who is pretending to be a teacher, gets paid 11tyb times more for that 2 months of filming, than the person does per year who is actually teaching their own child.

right now..... the jedi hand is be'n waved over the people who haven't contributed a  dime to society, and it's telling them.....they are entitled.

Oh, neat: a blatantly political thread masked by big words, and veiled statements of political philosophy.  We see superjohn espousing the paternalistic big government philosophy: sure let's depend on an ever-increasing Federal Government, meanwhile, giving up more of our freedom (read: money) and increasing the burden on future generations. 

Then, there is bobspapa talking up the 'personal responsibility' philosophy (my favorite).  This one is so far out of the realm of comprehension of so many people, under the age of 40, it's scary.  Keep pushing it, BP; I like it.  His main ally, ZLTFL, is right there, too.  Preach it, dude.

I'm picking up what you're putting down, mitt.  Get government out of the way,  right?  I like it.

The real problem is that the man WE elected President believes that HE can solve everything, through government, and cannot brook failure.  Well, Barry, it has to get worse before it can get better.  Listen to the markets, Barry.  Have you ever thought about why the Dow drops EVERY TIME YOU HAVE A PRESS CONFERENCE?  Think about it, Barry.

On a related but side note, the local triple A baseball stadium...at what they charge for a 12 ounce glass of beer, pay for a keg in 18 glasses of beer. And a normal 1/2 barrel of beer has about 200 glasses of beer with a 1/2 inch head or 220 with a 1 inch head. Awesome ratio there boys and girls.
