I was sitting on my 620 at a gas station in the middle of nowhere with my tank bag on so you couldn't see the logo.  With in 5 minutes I had two people come up to me.

1st guy..."Is that a Ducati or a Buell?"  He was actually cool and wasn't trying to pretend he knew.

2nd guy..."Is that a 996?!"   Roll Eyes

This weekend - guy on a Bonneville pulls up next to me at a light:

That a Monster?
Yup
What size engine?
695
Guess my bike is faster than yours then.
Uhm... alright...

One of teh funniest things I've ever seen was Luca riding my wife's monster from the East Bay out to Sacramento. He's something like 6'4" and my wife's m620 has the lowering link and a scooped seat since she's all of 5'2". So there's Luca cruising down I-80 leaned back with his loooong arms stretched out and his legs up on the frame sliders like highway pegs.  laughingdp  Almost as funny as seeing his knees tucked up under his chin when he put his feet on the stock pegs.    laughingdp  Good times.

I hang out with the Harley guys and even some of them ask who makes it.  Considering they are somewhat educated in bikes and the fact it's a stock black tank with DUCATI on the side in contrasting silver I find it hard not to point out the stupidity of there question.

Neighbor comes over while I'm cleaning the bike, it's sitting on the rear stand...

Neighbor - I see you got a training stand
Me - a what?
Neighbor - the stand it's on, it's for training - I thought they were only for bicycles
Me - yes, that's exactly what it's for....
