Hi all,

I need to know if the termi shorty will fit (and with what mods) to my 2008 S2R1000 with the cat still fitted.

There has probably been numerous posts regarding this before, but I had a quick seach and only found someone who knew of someone that had done it.  I have my birthday coming up and want to treat myself.

Please let me know if this can be done and what is involved.

Thanks

Bugs, I have been waiting for a reply to your question also.  Maybe It would be easier to research if you (we) can find out what diameter the inlets for the termi's are.  I can't find hardly any tech info on them.

So my question would be, does anyone know what size pipes it takes, or does anyone know where to get that info?

I think the outlets on the "udder" are bigger on a S4R than on a S2R...

Thx for the link, that helped.  My delima is that I am running the DP midpipes and they look bigger then the stock pipes.  When I ordered my system and it arrived at the shop, they were not the pipes that the mechanic and I were expecting.  They didn't use the stock headers, but bolted directly to the cylinder heads.  At first the tech thought they had sent the wrong pipes, but after looking harder, they fit.  So he mounted them.  I just wonder if they would work with the shorty without getting all creative.  The posting about the 2V and 4V monster pipes tell me that they still wouldn't.  I think I will check with the shop and see.

Hit up Asado...he sold his Termi shorty to a guy that installed it on his S2R1K.  Maybe he can point you in the right direction.

The shorty termi is specifically designed to work with the udder/catalytic converter. The carbon is actually just a little slip-on cover that goes overtop of a "Y" pipe that joins the two outlets from the udder together. The outlets from the S4R udder are bigger, so it won't work on the S2R. It definitely wont work on a DP midpipe, it's made for the udder.
