Sounds awesome be::
How does the track compare to Big Willow & Streets
Any pics
co::
It's like Big Willow and Streets in one...good long straight, some technical stuff, elevation changes then wack the throttle and sandbag around the back section for a long steady drive on the throttle, more elevation changes, , more sweeps, throw in some kinks and esses...good fun. Increasing radius, decreasing radius, banked, off camber, turns, some wheelie bumps...shite, it's farking fun!!!!
SteveG was flying out there, smooth, steady and fast all day...Derby was flyin' and picked up a bunch of corner speed by mid day, smiling ear to ear and making friends at the track (all girls, shocker). I finally got a chance to follow Derby and SteveG for a bit, the second to last session the three of us played some cat and mouse, was good for me to see what was possible by following and then I tried to blast off into the sunset, but somehow Steve was right there with me... mo:t:
Corey did awesome, he got some great pics taken to prove it
...won't be long before he's up in the faster groups, body position and confidence is soaring quickly!
Go Squeak!
Great times guys, the weather was excellent, the track day was amazing... Ti2TT has my vote for the best org so far...(HA Derby, that's 3 whole orgs I've ridden with now! ;:|)
Until next time...

Oh shut up...
I brought the bike in. Andy at West Coast GP Cycles believes it is the starter pickup. The starter turns, I have spark, and fuel is flowing. Hope to have it together asap, but I don't need it urgently. Since I'm out on business next weekend, I'll be missing this round of WSMC racing anyway.
See you at the next one!!!
so what you're saying is that we could've push started your scooter all day. [cheeky
lester, PM me your contact info. i thought i had it, but evidently don't.

Awesome day wt: I hurt everywhere today
I'm not dragging a knee, but I'm not gripping the tank for dear life either, so I guess that's an improvement ;:| It'll come with seat time and experience, I'm sure. Thanks to all who made it, and those that didn't were missed.
learning the line, courtesey a control rider who tapped his tail to have me follow
now it's my turn...
you can kinda tell i'm trying to hang off
almost there...

Hi guys! I know, I know, I haven't "introduced" myself in the "introduce yourself" thread, but whatever.
I met Derby at Buttonwillow on Friday. I was in the C group on my yellow and carbon M900. I totally agree: TI2TT is awesome! I really enjoyed their punctuality and efficiency and all around well organized track day! Sorry I didn't take the opportunity to meet the rest of you who were there, but maybe another time!
Oh, and hi April! To answer your question, the C group was about 20 people, but I think both A and B groups were larger.

Heya! I "met" you too...I was the guy who stopped by around 8 and asked if anyone knew the torque rating for a SV axle.
On track, you and your friend on the blue SV passed me a few times
Make yourself at home, we're a friendly group, and we're always open to more people to join us at the track

Hey all, I'm Will, MonsterGrrl's "friend"/mechanic/bound house man...
Buttonwillow was fun! Was nice to meet you Derbi, sqweak, hope that my numbers helped you out.
Back to Buttonwillow, what a track! To answer a Q real early in this post, Buttonwillow, is like a blend of Big Willow and SOW. Some VEDDY technical turns that require a lot of forthought (turns 2 and the kink at the end of the sweeper come to mind) and some very fast bits, but not soo fast that you cna't burn some inline fours and keep them off you in the straights.
This was our first turn here on bikes, and this with Julia's only days together from it's latest engine repair. But it was fun to puch a little. The street group was rockin! I'm definately not fast enough to be intermediate yet. someday...
Thinkin it's about time for a track school... Just so I can keep up with the Julia...

A few months ago, Fastrack started using the AMB timer system. It's the same system we use in WSMC to record race results. They provide all of the hardware. They have had come challenges getting the system to work for them, but it sounds like they're having success with the bugs.
The AMB system does NOT provide you real-time lap times. The trasponder on your bike sends a signal to their PC which tracks all of the laptimes. Fastrack then publishes the times a few days after the event.
I have the Mychron timer on my bike and it works very well.

And whats up with the mention of a transponder system, do they provide laptimers? or just provide the beacon?

actually they do print them out and post them quasi-real-time throughout the day...

does you have to place your own beacon for mychron, or does it work with AMB? I thought AMB was magnetic and mychron was IR?
