water isn't gonna cut it. you need to replenish
electrolytes
.
So then beer would be wrong?
Kidding, I was going 50/50 with water and gatorade. When I took the Keith Code course (same track) I took 2 salt and 2 potassium tablets after each session because he said so. I thought it was overkill, but I didn't get a headache.

in those conditions if you aren't drinking enough that you almost constantly feel like you gotta pee, then you aren't drinking enough

+1.
Also, it's not enough to just hydrate yourself the day of, you need to be (over) hydrating yourself the day before so that when you wake up, you see only the faintest hint of yellow in your pee - then you know you're doing it right.

So, like a chartreuse?
Man, I'm learning way more than I thought from a motorcycle forum.

So, getting home at 1 seems to be what they mean by "project over"...
Ugh.

Truth there, brutha...
Man, what a mess I was.
Greg, thanks for the ride out and back. Believe it or not, besides the pain, I had a great time the few laps I ran. Too bad about the
Lester, thanks for the shelter from the swelter, it was great to see you.
Joe, Garrett, Ryan, sorry I didn't come over and visit... next time out I suppose I'll sleep more than a few hours, and avoid the w00t the night before.
The only pictures they got of me were of my ass. Which is exactly what you're all going to see next time, when I sign up for A group
Get used to the view! Bwahahaha! [moto]

Are you shitting me? Dragging *fairing*? F'n showoff... Oh, and
Awesome
I'm still trying to determine which hard point I touched down on the exit of 8. I drug toe, and then the next thing I knew I could feel something dragging on the chassis, I slid about 3 feet wide, and then hooked back on and proceeded on my way.
Don't really see any new looking wear on the rearset though. Go figure. Probably about time to start hanging off.

In!
I'm going to start hydrating now.
And start looking for a a steering box for the truck.
A group. Or maybe I'll switch to B and play with DB, and save A for after the next couple of CSS sessions.
Matt, Assuming I get my truck fixed, you can load up on the uhaul. If I don't, you can load up on the other kind of uhaul I'll need to get my ass out there. I ought to be able to find the part and get it installed in a couple of months, though...

When you guys set up a track day for the BIG TRACK I'll join. Streets is not my favorite place...it used to be....but the last time I was there it just felt like a goat track. It also didn't help that I crashed on the first session of day because of cold tires
I was able to frankenstein the bike back up and continue the rest of the day but all in all it was a shitty day for me and I no longer like streets. I've crashed at Big Willow before, but I love that track soo much that I can't stay mad at it for long. [moto]

two very different personalities, those tracks. we were just talking last wknd about getting back to the big track; i'd really like to. this outing may have been -- day of the week dictated streets. but streets is a lot of fun no matter how you cut it, imo. crashing and having a bad feeling about it sounds like a good reason to go back.

You did set a sag baseline after you bought the bike from Garrett, did you? Do you know if the springs are correct for your weight? Garrett?
-R.
i think we weigh a good deal different (whereas jim and i, the original owner, are about the same) but tige did give it a once over for steve when we were at the big track a while back.
