Welcome Will!  Thanks so much for the numbers, tech was whining my chain was too tight and as I'm a failure as a mechanic and the bike is new to me I was in a bit of a mess.  Thankfully Derby was helping and sent me out to find that rating so we could button everything back up. [thumbsup]

As far as the sweeper, it had me frustrated for a bit too but I think I got it sorted by end of the day.  Best I can figure, treat it like a really long double apex: clip the corner on turn-in and allow yourself to drift out to mid track, it'll close up on you and if you did it right you'll clip that corner too and shoot out to the candystripe.  If done right, it's just one input from turn-in until you pick it up for the esses.  FWIW, I was one of the slowest guys out there but this line should  scale.  There's about a billion lines through 2, so you're on your own for that one. [laugh] (actually, FWIW I took it in a similar manner)

[thumbsup] to school.  gm2 was considering Jason Pridmore's STAR school in early june at SoW, I was thinking about TrackDaz first school in late June at SoW, and a bunch of us have completed various levels of California Superbike School.

Where are you guys located?  Almost all of us track folks are Westside/Southbay and get together fairly regularly, come by sometime. ;D

does you have to place your own beacon for mychron, or does it work with AMB?  I thought AMB was magnetic and mychron was IR?

AMB is magnetic and mychron is IR.

somebody usually sets an IR beacon out on track and all/most of the IR timers can work off the same beacon.

Ciao Fun

The Mychron uses an IR beacon.  Both the Mychron and the XT Timer use a compatible beacon.  I've only had to put my beacon up once over the past year as someone usually puts one up.

Ciao Fun

That's definitely an improvement over the initial pilots.  Seeing lap times between sessions could be pretty effective.

actually they do print them out and post them quasi-real-time throughout the day...

Oh, and hi April! To answer your question, the C group was about 20 people, but I think both A and B groups were larger.

MonsterGrrl/Will -- How are things? I just got back from Willow and I'm beat. I'll definately look into Ti2TT for another one.

squeak- Thanks man.  If I'd known who you were I'd have said come over and we could take car of it.  I spend altogether too much time wrenching on bikes.  I'm definately hoping to get a school outta the way this year, but I'm afraid school/budget may not allow it.  Jules and i are at the base of the Crest.

April-!!!  Haven't seen you in forever!  Hopefully we can all get out on a ride soon!  The Buckin Ducky obviously is pretty together at this point.  Hope to see you on the mountain pretty soon.

If work picks up and sales increase, I'll start the search for a dedicated track bike.
