Always run a tie down from the ramp to the truck, especially if you are running the bike up under power.

Report from the track:
Core lost the rear on turn 9. He's done for the day.
He's ok, a bit shaken up, but happy to report that the new leathers work great!

Oh noes! That isn't good. Glad to hear his gear did the job and he is ok. Hopefully the bike came through ok too. Take care of yourselves out there.

the rear? did he high-side? T-9 is a pretty fast one. Glad he's ok.

I'm fine
Leathers, boots, gloves scuffed (cosmetic). Bike a little worse for the wear but shouldn't be that bad.
It was 11 I think. Last left before the kinks and skidpad. There's a bump in the middle but its never bothered me since CSS helped me learn to get the bike over and settled with a lil throttle. I dunno what haapened this time, I was leaned and stable, everything felt normal. All of a sudden the rear stepped out and the bike just slid away from me in a lowside.
No excitement? Just slidin away watching the bike go before me.
Hope I can get it back up for the next 2 weeks
I'm just chilling, its not that bad out here, decent lukewarm breeze. The track has free wifi too

T-11, off-camber, and an odd turn. I'm either saying to myself "whoa, that was sketchy." OR "I could have gotten through there so much faster." Seldom do I feel like I nailed it.
Nothin worse than not knowing why you crashed.

Well good to hear you have free wifi
and that everything is ok.
That is a weird corner to just low side like that. Cold tires? I know that corner always seems tighter coming into it than it is probably because it is off camber like Matt said. Seems like if you are going to go off somewhere that is a pretty good one. Nice and flat without anything too scary around it.
When we were there for CSS there was actually a RockStar energy drink on the track just after the corner. I thnk at some point between sessions gm2 actually went out and picked it up. Not fun seeing a can rolling around when you are coming through there though

Cory,
If it happened at a turn where the photographer takes pictures, study up and see if you can find some clues. Compare your pics to those of other riders. You can learn a lot from a picture...even those "not so pretty" ones.
Heal up!
Edit:
Here's a good example of mystery solved by photo. This picture was taken on an ill fated day for my pitmate at laguna T3. He's number 869, and he just passed me on the inside of the turn. He made a clean pass, but just following, I saw him run off almost perpendicular to the track. He hit some soft silty stuff, almost saved it, but eventually hit the K rail under the bridge and broke his collar bone. He kept claiming that the suspension was cold/off and made him push wide...or he didn't trust the tires...or some other excuse...then the photo was posted...
Look at where he is looking..directly in front of him. Compare to where I am looking (immediately behind him). The foreground shows that there is no track where he is headed. Target fixation. My guess is he looked at the photographer a little too long. At the moment the pic was taken, he could have saved it any number of ways...

It's make the beast with two backsing hotter downtown right now at 9:00 at night than it was out there...
Squeak was less than shaken it seemed, as our homie walked calmly back to the pits...thank goodness no injury!! Get that bike back on track buddy!
T'was a good day overall...Ryan is back in the game, G and Derb and I ran some new skins, and the mighty mights (lil fellas on 125's, etc) on the track gave us all a good spankin'...
So much for me thinking about taking the summer off, when's the next track day? (besides the 4th kids!)...
