Just finished installing my Rizomas on my S2R800.
Has anyone taken the time to mod the rear brake lever on these to use a spring rather than a... rubber band?

I have tried...  it seems like the o-ring fastening points are not in the right place to get the best leverage.  I found a spring that should be strong enough and the right length but the angle it has to pull at - it can't lift the lever, just take some of the weight off of it.  I plan to give it another go sometime - look into a different mounting point on the fixed piece - but for now, like mentioned above, it works fine without o-ring or spring.

i used one of those little slip on exhaust springs on it, i bent the hook ends over the knobs so that it wouldnt slip off. After a while i didnt like it and my mechanic had some little spring sitting around that he through on for me that wasnt so stiff.

Hmm. Interesting, interesting.
Thanks for the replies fellas. I'm just really used to the stiffer feel of the spring return on the original foot controls, the rizoma band makes the brakes feel... a bit spongy to me. I'll do some spring shopping and see what I can find.

I swapped the two attachment/adjuster bolts to get a better angle + longer distance, plus I put one twist in the band.  Works fine, but I agree that more tension would be better.

Yeah..you dont really need either.  My rubber band must have fallen off at some point and I never even noticed.
