Which is why they are monsters. Think Frankenstein's monster. In contrast the new Monsters are purpose built although I think they do share some parts with the 848.
That being said the new monsters are probably a better motorcycle overall.
IMHO

Hey! Got my first duc, and street bike in general this year. Its a 94 m900 and ive Been working on it pretty much nonstop. It has become apparent the previous owner(s) didn't take care of her the way she deserved. I've fixed and upgraded what I can to this point but its gonna be a process. I've always loved ducatis and i couldnt believe it when I actually got to have one myself. I'm 26 and doing what I can to put the best stuff into her and do it correctly, so any help, advice, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Im also looking for lots of parts, mainly aftermarket but some stock like a fuel sensor. So anything you guys got Laying around you want to part with let me know! Thanks! And here's what she looked like when I got her, after a few upgrades, and the new problem I just came across and am dealing with... Carbide is my best friend right now haha! Thanks again!

Good looking bike. I like how the cam covers and other bits match the paint.

Thanks! Yeah I had those powder coated recently. Thankfully there's only like two shades of Candy orange powder coat so it was easy to match. Next I'm doing the swing arm and the fork tubes black. The triples orange and I just got a seat cowl and front fairing I'm gonna match to the tank. I've been looking for a dash with a tach too...

Still lookin good josh.
I wonder if someone could put a projector beam headlight in that housing you have on your bike......is it deeper than the smushed, newer monster headlight?

Yeah man you are onto something. I was surfing on a KTM forum to check out headlight mods, and sure enough someone figured out how to drop a projector into this headlight. It is deeper than the newer pancake style headlight on the Monster.
I have a thread in the Mods & Accessories section if you want to see more pictures.

I already commented in there.
What KTM forum did you see it on? Would like to see that headlight.
