Finished my SV track + street fighter today.
-Installed a belly pan from Twin Shack which I spray painted earlier this week, and epoxied in some mesh inserts.
- Painted the front header with some High-temp paint, to hide it a lil'.
- Finished wiring in new Koso gauges.
- Velcroed on my $58 cheapo lap timer to the top triple.
- Finished installing new headlight. Took off my Dominator dualies and decided to go "old school" cheapo, with a set from UFO, as this IS a trackbike.
- Used a set of fork clamps to install my turn signals. As this bike will be on the street until my duc monster is running again.
It takes about 5 minutes to put some painters tape on the turnsignals, lights and brake lights to turn it from street duty to track duty. And a minute to pull it off and screw in a mirror for street duty.
And my SV is set for this season.
I started it up, let the high-heat paint cook on the header, about 10 minutes, until it stopped smokin', then took it around the block
<~~ with a big grin!!
