Don't see many late models so here are a few quick shots of how she looks today.

Spencer - first other bike I've seen with the
MIVV's
Suono's , tho I don't have the Carbon. Sound nice or what? Tried without baffles?

Close enough
Assuming you have plans, what are the typical mods done to that scoot?

First off I need to get the bike broken in thoroughly. After that is done I will start going down the road of sorting out the same sort of fueling issues that quite a few of the Street Fighter owners are going through. The came with the Akra cans, and KTM approved ecu map, but the bike is still running with a closed loop system. But surprisingly enough, it also seems to be easily curable by intalling a PCIII but I want to try simply taking the O2 sensors out of the loop first. We shall see how that goes.
Other than that, most of the things that are done to these are more cosmetic in nature, but there are a few motor tweaks that are available. One of the things that I am thinking about getting is a motohooligan airbox set up; lots of information on those are available over at superduke.net. The WP suspension is pretty top shelf stuff, all it needs is to get set up to me and my riding style. More to follow.

The SM is the direction that I originally intended to go with, and I was working a SWEET deal on a left over '07 SMR from a dealership in SoCal. One of the guys at the dealership said that he was going to hold the bike for me for twenty-four hours so I could get my affairs in order, but another guy ended up selling it that night. So the same dealership offered me a STUPID deal on a brand new '08SD. I ended up paying eight hundred dollars more for the SD (with Akra pipes included) than I would have for the stock SMR, and saved more than three thousand than the already "deeply discounted price" that was being asked for the one SD (an '07) that was in Hawaii. It only cost me $625 to ship it down here, and the odometer showed 000000 miles on it when I picked it up at the port.

Not really so much that. More the fact that the economy in SoCal is really in the tanks and you have lots of dealers sitting on sales floors that are packed with last years (and in some cases older) bikes. Couple that with the fact that KTM's street bike sales never really took off in the states in the first place and you have quite a few really good deals out there.

Hana? I wish! I am on Oahu (different island) and the one really good means of ferrying you and your bike (the Superferry) got shut down because the state cannot quite seem to pull their heads of of their kollektive asses.
