msh, gr8 looking bike....clean and simple to the eyes...
Thanks for the positive feedback. It's getting there... slowly becoming the bike I want it to be. Now if I could only muster up some photographic talent, vs. my crappy cell phone pic. Oh, well. Somday.
Just did the SpeedyMoto timing belt "covers". God I love them! Now the eye doesn't focus on the fugly grey plastic pieces anymore. Seems to show off the K&N's more? Maybe just my imagination.
Now I gotta find a gold or bronze anodized oil cap. The red just won't do. My vision is looking as spartan as possible around the engine... natural aluminum, a few black & gold touches. The wheels as the only red parts on the bike.
I've got the matching SpeedyMoto sprocket cover, too. Gonna throw it on when I do the gold anodized drilled Vortex 14t sprocket & DID ERV3 gold chain this Sunday.
Should make the left side ready for prime time!

ermis!
This color scheme is remarkably close to what I've been envisioning for my 96 M900... are you my psychic friend?

It's looking great, BTW. Very nicely done.

msh, with your pods, pipes and Power Commander, did you dyno tune? How much was it? I'm looking at that right now...
I haven't done this bike... but my local dealer, Skagit Powersports (Washington state), does at least one dyno day each year. Usually on, or around their open house day in spring. I might do it then. Until then, I'm going to dive into the Power Commander programming guide. It's ideling really low right now and I must look like a tool blipping the thottle at every light, trying to keep it alive (OK, yes... I do like how it sounds, too
).
From what I remember, it's usually right around $100 for a dyno run (2 or 3, actually) and a little more if you want to tune with the PC at the same time. I'll probably give it a shot.
Just added the 14T Vortes front sprocket and DID ERV3 chain. What a difference! So fun.
Pouring through the paperwork dad kept, I discovered it's not a "full" Feracci system (with headers)
.
BUT it turns out they aren't stainless steel... they're Titanium slip ons!
