Thanks for the kind words, it's still a bit off from where I want it to be but it's getting there!!

Really nice looking bike! +1 for the chopped fender, was it hard to do? 

The fender chop was super easy, if you have a Dremel.

I think it might have taken me a total of an hour and a half. That includes cutting, sanding, and painting!

It's been a while and there have been some mods.



848 forks and 4-pad radial brembos with 999 10-spoke Marchesinis, and FrenTubo brake lines.



Rizoma pressure plate with speedymoto caps, and FrenTubo oil lines.



999 rear wheel and brake setup. Also changed out the chain and sprockets so that I get to use more than just 1st through 3rd gear. I can now use 5th (kinda) legally!



Custom fabbed tail light/license plate bracket.



And an in-process pic that shows off my new freight train horns. Yes, they're obnoxiously huge and red. They're also Hella loud.

You can get brake lines with banjo fittings in any color - anodized aluminum, titanium, and stainless steel - likewise the braided lines can be covered in a protective sleeve that can be any color as well.

but... this fitting angle doesn't look correct:

The line shouldn't bend like that, the fitting itself should have somewhere between a 60-75-90 degree bend to change the line's direction correctly for the banjo bolt placement/positioning on the caliper.  On the 848-M1100, etc, which use a similar caliper, the bends are 90's, but the 75's would work well too.   It looks like those FrenTubo lines were for a different caliper, where the banjo bolt location was quite different.

With it bowed-out like that, and then having to make a bend, you end up with all that extra line. This amount of extra brake line is concerning to me because it could snag on any number of things, including the bike itself:

Good eye there! Looks like those lines for the front & rear calipers were on another bike previously and adapted over to this bike. Yep, you're right the angles are not proper.  Getting the proper angles and lengths can be a pregnant dog when doing lines. Tedious, a tad expensive if you have to do them over a few times but oh so important.
