Thanks me too! I got an all red 696 last spring with lots of bolt ons for a good deal, then a few months later they debuted the 796, I instantly fell in love with that color scheme on it. Due to an interesting series of events involving being cut off and found at fault, I was able to trade up to the bike I had my eye on!!

I finally got the new rims (see page 134) painted and fitted and so far I´m happy with the result. I also replaced the stock handlebar with a Suburban Machinery M3. The combination of more stability mid-corner (rims) and more weight on the front wheel (handlebar) feels great!!
Best regards / Mike Sweden

They are the Passenger Grab Handles from Ducati.
http://www.ducati.com/accessories/monster/passenger_grab_handles_506/index.do?urlBack=%2Faccessories%2Fsearch%2Findex.do%3FkeyWord%3Dpassenger%26pageNumber%3D0%26idBikeFamily%3D22%26idModelBike%3D696%26idModelYear%3D16%26idCategory%3D0%26nameOrder%3Dasc%26sortOrder%3Dname
.
Got them from the dealer. When you see them in person, they look really cool... kinda give it a Spiderman look. The bike is currently in the shop. When it gets back, I will post some better pictures

I do like the way they look but my main interest is having something solid to hook my bungee net onto when I carry my extra helmet or other stuff. Now, does anyone know if they will interefere with the ducati performance tail bag? I know the lower portion sticks a little low on the seat and im wondering if it will hit the brackets...

also, you might want to know that they only fit on 796's and 2011 686's and the 1100evo. if your monster isnt one of those it wont work

I believe the tail bag attaches to the seat cowling screws. The grab handles attach between the mounts for the stock cans and the frame, as well as a couple other screw holes under the seat frame.

You are correct, the bag uses the same screws as the cowling. however the semi-rigid material that the bag sides are made of extend below the bottom of the seat, my concern is that they will hit the handles where they attach below the seat. I have a set on the way so ill keep you all posted as to how the combo works!

i don't think it will be an issue. they mount under the frame go out a bit and then sweep up. But i personally haven't seen how far the bag goes below the seat.
