I FINALLY ordered an exhaust for my 696. No pics yet though. I did a 180 and got something totally different than my initial plans. I followed amcloud's footsteps and ordered the Leo Vince EvoII in carbon. Can't wait to get it.  popcorn You can't beat ~$830 shipped.

Really like that you did for your bike and the exhaust tape. I wanted to do that to mine but worried it will cause the bike to overheat faster?

No it wont cause your bike to over heat faster..you should be fine..
If your going to wrap it be sure to soak it with water and make it super tight and 1/4" overlap each turn and dont forget to seal it with sealicone spary.Do it atleast 4 to 5 coats and bake it if you have some ..to keep it tight and solid .

Old Photo.  Picture is from December...

Mods in the photo:
Ducati short fender kit
Ducati Carbon Heatshields (on cans and the one on the exhaust)
CRG bar end mirrors

I am unsure if I want to do red rim stripes.  I have bought them, but unsure if I should add color (red) or just leave it mean black.

Screw the mods, where did you get the Sambas! I have a pair, but they are 10 years old. The best driving shoes ever made.

Ex soccer player, indoor and outdoor... when I heard they were going to stop making them, I stocked up.  I still have 2 sets unworn.  Those current ones are 5+ years old... now that I don't play anymore, they last a lot longer.  My favorite shoe of all time.  I don't wear them in the winter so much, but I wear them all the time in the nicer weather.

Ryan, I did a quick search... and looks like you can still get them: Looks like they are called the "Classic M" now.
