Hs anyone that's had their ecu reflashed noticed any strange behavior with their bikes at extremely small throttle amounts? My bike doesn't seem to look minuscule amounts of throttle anymore. Cruising around neighborhoods in my area at 25 mph the bike will just hit a wall where it slows down to 20mph or so and then it will go back to 25 and so and seems to surge a little. Does the same thing but slightly less at higher speeds. It's never done this with the stock ecu.

Here's my baby with the new gloss paint and sticker. Notice that I've also changed out the mirrors, too. Anyone have any recommendations for a nice pair of bar end mirrors that I can replace these with? They're cheap and I don't really like the cheap "look". I'm having the Rizoma Rearsets installed next week. Should look nice! Looking at painting the headlight black, levers, and some more CF soon. I love this bike.

The TPS may need to be reset due to the flash, I'm not sure. Anyway, it is easy enough to do on a 696. Turn the ignition on and off quickly three times without touching the throttle.

I have done the key on/off thing several times and still the same thing. Annoying. Can the dealer reset it in some other way, or is there something else I can maybe try?

you're running the pods right?
your may have to check if things are sync'd now that you are using a different setup then the stock maps.
either that or it's dyno time.

I decided that I didn't want to do pods yet, so I'm running an MWR filter. I'm wondering if maybe my electraeon throttle cam / throttle cable adjustment is preventing the tps from resetting? Maybe the ecu thinks that the throttle is being applied because it's too taut?

Whats with Monster owners liking Mini's? I saw two on the first page in the background. Also, is there a way to make threads like this a sticky so I can see them at the top regardless of their activity?

Gonna go CF for the front fender. Bring all the little CF bits together.

Did a forum search for this and haven't found anything, but I wanted to see if anyone has had any problems with their seat not locking? For some reason, no matter what I do, the catch won't keep my seat in place. I've tried messing with the cable, but it's not that the catch doesn't come out enough to grab it, it just doesn't seem to lock in place. Can anyone help? Am I just a dumbass and can't figure out the easy solution?
Thanks in advance.

I always line mine up and then give it a good downward smack on the rear portion to lock it in place.

Remind me what the clevis is for on the bottom of the Ohlins... I don't have a 696-1100 nor do I have a parts diagram in front of me currently.

It comes off- the one in the picture is actually from the stock shock as it is how it mounts to the frame.

So for my apparent tps issue I have pulled the throttle cable out of the cam and tried several procedures to try to reset the tps all to no avail. I turned the key on and off quick enough that it didn't disrupt the start up procedure, I've tried turning it slower so that it didn't get through the full start up, and I've tried letting it go through the full start up key on/off and the bike is still acting strange at low speeds / low throttle conditions. It surges badly and feels dangerous.
Any ideas?
