Three Eight Five (385) that is.
And yeah I'm heading for the 6th June atm.

Hmmmmm. As I thought, a bit rich for me at the moment, bloody getting married blah blah blah. [cheeky]

I've wanted to do this for a while, will just have to keep on using my natural talent.  [puke]

mattyvas

For which you are blessed with much....

Dockstrada

Did one of those courses years back it really dose help.
All I can say is try not to focus on the speed focus on your posture and lines just be loose the speed will come in time.

A lot of guys are going off and doing super bike schools with no intentions to do track days. Wrong

The only thing they will teach you there are track lines totally different to street lines and also dangerous on the road.

The stay upright class is great you will learn some things that will shock you regarding braking distances mid corner braking and how it can help and line of vision.

Plus you will have a stack of fun  [thumbsup]
If I wasn't who i was, I wouldn't be who I am !

Hey Matty could you PM me the details for the 6th June. I actually have the day off and "might" get a leave pass from the boss.....  [thumbsup]

Could be interested for the Friday although logistics could be an issue (assuming I can get the time off work).

Would you be intending to do the theory session? Is there anything covered there that won't be covered again on the day? I'm asking because it would make it a very late night for me before a very full day on the Friday.
Believe post content at your own risk.

mattyvas

I most likely would do the theory session however it is only an option it is not necessary to do it.

I am sure they would give some sort of catch up briefing on the morning when people arrive.

Dockstrada

So which is the one you guys are doing The Advanced I Skills Development Course or
Advanced II Cornering & Braking Course???
If I wasn't who i was, I wouldn't be who I am !

mattyvas

Advanced skills I
I think you have to do that before they let you do # II

Dockstrada

Yep When you guys finish Skill 1 Il join you for Skills 2 need a bit of a nip and tuck ;D
If I wasn't who i was, I wouldn't be who I am !

The theory is pretty good though if you got your bike licence within the last couple of years its much the same stuff they go over in that course. If you have had your licence for a long time it would be of benefit as it alerts you to the old mis-conceptions developed by "experienced" riders. Would recommend it.
The Advanced I course is very infomative and i would suggest you will learn how to get more from your ride. IMO. Most of all its heaps of fun  [moto].
I will sit this one out, I look to have finally convinced my best mate to get a road bike and have committed to doing the same course with him ( if he ever decides on a bike).
