Are any of you familair w/ the subject mirrors? My main question is do they also clamp over 7/8" dia. handlebars? The Renthal bar I use is too thick to use the expanding collet on the inside. In the description they say fit over most bar ends, but I'm wanting to clamp on the bar itself since that's my only option short of drilling the I.D. larger.

I have a pair of the non-folding persuasion purchased off the same guy.
Couldn't be happier for $40.
Go for it.

I had a pair for about 2 months. Found that they worked fine, a lil buzzier than crg's but workable. The inside of the bolts rusted quick tho, went to local hardware store and replaced the lot with SS, for about $9

i also have the cheapo non folding and they work just fine, the only reason i didnt get those is if the bike falls over i doubt they will survive i cant imagine they will smoothly slide into up position like the crg lanesplitters do. IIRC member on the board had the crg when they laid the bike over in the garage the crgs popped into lane split mode and didnt break. I doubt these will do that. If nothing else you got 40$ bar end sliders with mirrors as a bonus.

PW 696 " Pearl " = traded in
M1100 " Loki " = Viking God of mischief ( Goddess in this case )
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in a pretty pristine body, but rather to come in sliding sideways all used up screaming F*CK YEAH WHAT A RDIE!!

Thank you all for your imput, but I also need to know if these will clamp onto a 7/8" dia. bar for sure? Again, my Renthals are too thick to use the internal expanding collet - so it's either clamp over the bar or find a 15MM drill bit to ream out the ends.

I had the cheapo ones on a set of Rizoma bars that had pretty thick wall tubing. The mirrors cam w/ both ID setups.

I use a pair of cheap mountain bike bar ends. The supplied internals didnt fit inside the bars but by using the existing bar weight internals and bolt they work fine. Maybe thats an option.

These look to be the same mirrors as the Motrax ones sold by cycle gear.
might search for motrax for some more opinions...

I went this route too, but I used CRG lanesplit arms to get the folding function.  I think the total cost for both was about $75.

actually these may fit into your bars.  There are two collets in there if I remember correctly.  You remover the outer one and you're good.  As for mounting on the bar itself, I never tried.

BTW, the pitfall to these is that the mirror tends to come loose.  it's not fastened in as well as the CRGs, and when that occurs, it can slowly eat the mirror coating off the edges of the mirror.
