ill want to be fitter than i am at the moment heather and i dont like riding in big groups and if you do this tourismo you will want to have tape or body armour on your bike the amount gravel and fine blue stone on these roads when following bikes with sticky tyres , your bike will look like its been hit with a sand blaster i kid you not and another note make sure your phone is with telsta or you will be like poor mmick who had to find pay phones to make calls cheers bazz
Jeebus Bazz can you come up with any more excuses??? Maybe your cat has furballs, your tyres are flat, the sky is falling down!!!!

1.  you have got a whole year to get fit.  Get to work fella.

2. I baulk at riding in big groups (see melb brekky thread). I did turismo last year for the first time and was very dubious about riding with 300 other ducati riders - figuring that there would have to be some knobs in the group.  Wake up call -  no knobs, heaps of friendly happy people. And you don't all ride together.  I spent my days riding with 4  bikes all up.  Techno and the tassie boys being the group who let me tag along.

3. if I was worried about stone chips I wouldn't get my bike outta the shed.  And people with sticky tyres will overtake me and be gone in a jiffy.

4. Yes my phone is with Telstra but , as it's connected to the wall at home and quite bulky, I won't be bringing it with me.

Your turn.....

Yep, as Heather says ya ride at your own pace. The only big group riding is from the starting point but the field soon spreads out from there.

Bazz is right about Telstra coverage. I now have an optus work phone and it won't work outside the CBD  Angry

I have been told from a very reliable inside man that it will be held at two heads stomping grounds. Also  coinciding with the supers so it'll be a long ride for sure.

my turn hey heather well here goes if i sound pissed it cause ive been stuck in hospital with a clot in my lung all weekend and its been a glorious weekend
1 unless you have a medical degree and have found cure for a blood disease i wont be getting any better
2 the last time the tourismo was here they all ended up in a big group and there were three types of riders all mixed up , those that could ride , those that thought they could and those that couldnt and as a result there were a few accidents
3 as for stone chips i wish thats all i got had replace fork sliders cause monsters have shit fenders by the time the ride was over so was my seals i now run fork wraps and i try and look after my bike as i wont ever get another one
4 if you want to bring your house phone thats up to you but all i was doing was trying to inform people who have mobils and want to youse them
and finnaly i dont have a cat around here there shot on sight but if im up to it ill ride some of the way and try and meet as many as i can and by the way i do take the word excuse as offensive they are my opinions not excuses and all i was trying to do was warn people these roads can be shit and dangerous as well as fun, rant over bazz

It'll be hard not to pop into Bazz's place.
He lives on the best road in Tassie [moto]
There's no doubt whatsoever that the Turismo will be going straight past his front door!

Jeeze, thats narrowed it down dave, so tell me which is the best road, I found lots, and I was told it wasnt the best road, but if it haws corners, no traffic, = best road.
