Has anybody else ordered a CA integrated tail light lately?  I ordered on 2/21 from their website and had it shipped to my father's house to work on the bike over my spring break (this week).  When I got there on Saturday (3/14) I found that the part never arrived.  I've been trying to call all week with no avail, just a message saying all lines are busy or they're closed (during regular business hours), and then there was a message that said they're closed due to inventory, and now i just get a busy signal.  Anybody else have any incite into this?  Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

+1 on calling your credit card company to try to fix the charge... but I'd also still try to get a hold of CA to questions them.

As for HeMan's statement... That's an opinion, tho it's one that others on the board have expressed as well. I got a CA integrated with smoke lens a few years ago and loved it. Would still be on my bike if I hadn't built a custom tail (couldn't get the stock lens assembly to work with the new configuration).

The opinion is mostly based on others experience. There is no doubt that quality of it is great. its just...when you end up tail chopping it, the LEDs are not bright when the viewing angle surpasses a certain degree.( 5-7 degrees i beleive) and in broad daylight you just cant see anything....which is why i removed the LEDs in mine and replaced them with SMDs...okay well im still waiting on the SMDs to arrive first. Sad

I have a CA intergrated setup on my monster and have had no issues with it what so ever.
I did go the extra step (after reading about people's issues) and siliconed the individual LED's together
before I installed it (guess it's working)...

I guess CA is moving and will be out of commission for a couple weeks.  Does anybody have an alternative option for an integrated taillight?  I've seen the Vizi-tech and they look awesome, but last I heard they're not in production.  Any thoughts?

ViziTech is up and running (slow walk) again, says an otherwise reliable source.
Their lights might be available some time "soon".

MotoCreations have something cooking as well waytogo

Heavy Cycles  is pricey but nice. Here is a webbike review on the multistrada model.

I ordered this one:

http://motodynamic.com/index.php?cPath=28_32

Granted, I haven't seen it yet, since they are backordered.  It's about half the price of the CA one... but, it could suck.  I'll let you know when I get it.

I spoke with Jeff at Monsterparts and he has a couple options now.  He has one very similar to the CA unit for ~$85 that he's expecting to get in stock any day, and is also expecting to have Vizi-tec units very soon.

I have a Clear Alternatives integrated taillight/signals and am happy with it.   I've heard good things about the Vizi-tec Novastar.

Here's a few links:
http://www.monsterparts.com/c/Electrical/Electrical.html
http://www.clearalternatives.com/
http://www.vizi-tec.com/SUPANOVA/SupaNova_Pictures.htm
http://www.heavycycles.com/
http://motodynamic.com/product_info....roducts_id=153

Also saw some on www.ebay.it.  Just search for "ducati monster fanale". There's a company on there that has multiple different custom taillights for the Monster.

Also found this (http://www.sca40.com/led/) if you want to make one, but this one is not integrated.

I've had the MotoDynamic on my '94 M900 for over a year with no issues. Hook-up is easy, can be seen in the daylight and brighter then stock. Price is very reasonable. I think that the Vizi-Tec is probably the brighter, so if you have the $$$, stimulate the economy.

I have a Moto-LED from Monsterparts, made in Germany, about ~$90. Works quite well, of course brighter than stock, and has a wide viewing angle. Has a very robust construction.
