I have a loud exhaust that sets off car alarms, and most kids like it. My neighbor ran out of his house one morning and told me how beautiful the bike sounded. He's a family man too, a lawyer in fact. I wouldn't worry about the Termis as they are louder but quite mellifluous, not obnoxious at all. I particularly love revving the engine when going under overpasses and through tunnels. Everyone will love the sound of them [moto]

Hmm OK I know about M-M but what you posted runs contrary to what I have read on this forum...

i misread your post, i thought you were saying installing it yourself would blow the bike's warranty when you are saying doing so will void the part's warranty.
i stand corrected.

My dealer encouraged me to do the install myself if I wanted. They told me they would still honor the warranty on the parts and the bike. There really is nothing to the install besides removing a few screws, although having someone around to hold the gas tank helps since the ecu is hiding under it...and remember to disconnect your battery. Other than that you will be just fine.

I didnĀ“t disconnect the battery. What kind of damages can the Ducati expect? I already ride it 100 kms
See some pics of my own installation.
1h30, alone, with tons of pics. (

The issue with gas tank was fixed with a seatpost

Probably nothing. It is just a precaution you should take anytime you mess with electronics...not for yourself since it is DC voltage, but for the electronics involved. If nothing has shown up thus far, you are probably in the clear...but from now on you might want to disconnect the battery when playing with the ecu.
