need part number for timing belts

Hello fellow monster owners.  I recently picked up a 2005 s2r 800 dark model.  I'm trying to get the correct part number for the timing belts and also wondering if there is an aftermarket equivalent?

I have the shop manual part number as:  737.4.007.2A Timing drive toothed belt

And ca-cycleworks.com part number as:  Ducati OEM belts (each)    620/750/800 1998 up 2V   737.100.51A   $44

which one is correct?

are there any other places to get the belts for less than 44$ each?

also, what is the replacement interval on these belts?

Yep, but for my bike (a '99 M750) there are no non-OEM options available, so I just got to the local Ducati guy and say "belts for a '99 750 please".

There are, from recollection of past discussions, some "Bucci" brand alternatives, but I think they're only for 900s, and am pretty sure they won't fit your 800 given what you've quoted from the ca-cyceworks site there. Either way, Chris at ca-cycleworks is a great guy and knows what he sells, give him a call and he'll set you straight (and post back in this thread with the answers when you get them too please!)

73740072A is the part number per the parts catalogue.

73710051A is the superseded part number, IE the one you would get now.

If you go here:
http://www.motospecialties.com/partorderlookup.asp?store=DucatiOmaha
You can look up prices for a particular part number, and it will give you the latest superseded number.
The prices are not necessarily what you would pay at *every* dealer.

Make sure and check with your dealer for the correct part number before you buy.
