I'd like to look at a bracket on your throttle bodies to see if it would fit on the throttle bodies for my '05 S4R.

That guy that introduced us to the Triangle Italians had one.  (Was his name Eric?)

I think he moved away from here though.

Your best bet might be to just show up at one of the Triangle Italians meet-ups and see if anyone shows up on one.

There was a 748 the last time I went. Next one should be a week from Saturday.

Our group has a 748 and a 996 if you can't find one in the triangle.

Hey, wait!

I just remembered there being a woman on TOB with a 996 in either Cary or Apex.

You might wanna head over to the dark side and see if you can find her contact info.

I was thinking about that, but I think I'm gonna ride down to Maxton with the guys.

I think she was here as Sparky1479 but hasn't been on since Sept.

TOB is dead. No activity in MROC last I saw.

I was looking to see if the throttle body bracket off a 916 would fit the throttle bodies on my bike.

They do.   Grin

You know me too well.  laughingdp

This bracket lacks the cold start cable holder since I removed mine and bolted up an SBK cold start button.  I modded it a bit to clean up the looks.

I also got a used SC left hand switch to replace my OEM unit with the now empty holes where the cold start cable used to be.

You seriously need help.   Tongue  You are officially running out of shit to mod.   laughingdp  I didn't think it was possible.

As for the SBK cold start button, did you ever figure out a way to make it work properly?

Yep, a simple ball bearing.  I replaced the left-hand switch with one from an SC (eBay).  I also removed the cold start cable -- cleaner look.

I don't think I'll ever run out of things to mod.  I've been eying the Boomtubes for a few weeks, and now I'm considering pod filters.  With pods I could loose the airbox and crankcase breather box -- about 5lbs of plastic according to posts on the board.

And pods look better, though it may require some tuning.  I say go for it.
