I'm having the same issue. I lost my key, paid the $68 only to find
my shop can not cut it. They said any locksmith should be able to
cut it. NOT. I am working on about my 25th store with no luck.
The middle groove seems to be the problem. Apparently the groove
is so slender in does not allow the wider cuts without deforming the
center groove. As soon as I say the blank cost $70 they have all
said I better find the proper cutter. I even offered to buy the correct
bit for two guys, but they both said they have all the available bits
for their machines. This blows.

What is worse is I know I will find my "lost" key as soon as I get the
new one cut. For now I have a $70 cocktail stirrer
