Well, as I said in previous posts, I purchased some second hand Showas off a S2r 1K on sleazebay.  I finally got the forks back from dealer after installing the racetech springs and gold valves.  Had the tubes hard annodized while they were pulled apart.  I've only ridden with the new setup for a couple of miles, so the only thing I noticed immediately was how much better it behaves on crappy pavemet.  The adjusters did clear the stock bar setup with the forks as low as they would go in the top triple.  I wanted to give a big thanks to the forum for all the help answering the countless questions I had leading up to this swap.  I am very pleased with the end result.  The midpipe is MIVV, installed a week ago.

The black bars are pretty sweet too.

Congratulations waytogo

Good thing the adjusters cleared the bars, close call huh....

With the black forks and bars, you don't need to do anything to the triples - it all looks great Cool

How about gold rim stripes?

Good thing indeed!  This had already escalated into a major expense, and I definitely wanted to keep the bar setup I have.  Thanks for you help btw.

Congratulations waytogo

Thanks for posting this. That's a Dark, correct? It's a great bike and feel it's been marginalized by Ducati's decision to use crap suspension components. I have the same machine and want to do essentially the same thing to it, now I have photos of what it would look like. Looks awesome.

This is definitely the easier route than sbk forks.  No shims and triple modification, but they aren't easy to come by.  I only saw a couple sets on ebay in a few months.  Do the brakes as well, you will be amazed at the difference.

bada$$!
The black bezel on the headlight is a nice touch.

I was going to paint my bars and triples black, now I know how good the bars will look black!
