I'd be pretty comfortable telling a dealer that made me wait 4-6 weeks for parts (without a good explanation beforehand) and didn't send my request out for another 1.5 weeks after I originally made it to take their restocking fee and shove it up their ass.

+1.

Also might I add that I would suggest they turn their restocking fee sideways, then shove it up their ass.

I assume you paid on credit card-I would dispute it, and give the money to people who deserve it.

I would also single the dealer out here, just so none of us order parts through them-that is some unacceptable asshattery.

If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

I agree with telling them that, however, they already have my money. Since the parts had to be ordered they had to be paid in full. So the refund I would get would be -20%. As far as mocking me, just do it now, I deserve it. I had no idea it would go like this. They told me 2 weeks maybe 3, but they didn't tell me they would wait 1 1/2 weeks to place the order.

politely inform them that had you been told they were waiting for a large enough order before calling it all in you would have gone somewhere else so you can get your bike up and running.

that nixed the restocking fee for a couple of time before i finally learned.

+2 on that!

Really kawazar.....let's look at it this way.  You'd probably spend more than the ten bucks sitting in a bar drowning your sorrows because everyone else is out riding while you are waiting for a stupid bolt!  (And when the other bolt finally comes in just put it in your toolbox..for the NET time you lose one   ;D  )

Just call DucSea and get riding buddy!!!!!    [moto]
