you reckon the SF will result in a lot of S4Rt/s riders moving up/accross?

NNnnnaaaaa Spider.....

Just a few crazy old men......

Oooohhh hang on I am an old man......

All is normal then......

Lets just say the SF "interests" me.....

Need to see, touch, feel, ride and most importantly, cost the SF before I ever dream of ever owning one........

Nice to have dreams though....  [moto]

There are always savings to be made when buying a bike.

The 1098 starts at $26,490 ish, surely the std SF would need to fit under that.

That is too logical.
Logic wont get in the way of Ducati. laughingdp
Std SF will be over $26k.

Anyone know the price of a Monster 1100 and the 1100S in Au? (I'm taking a punt with the AU$ prices on the M1100S and the M1100)

Ducati North America RRP                  NFI Aus RRP              Magic Number

USD$8,995  696 Monster                           AU$  12995                1.444691495275153(!)
USD$11,995 1100 Monster                        AU$  ? ? ? ($18995?)   1.583576490204252
USD$14,495 1100 S Monster                     AU$  ? ? ? ($22995?)   1.586409106588479

USD$14,495 stroodle S                             AU$  21995.00            1.517419799931011
USD$13,995 848                                      AU$  21495.00            1.535905680600214
USD$11,995 HyperMotard                         AU$  18495.00            1.541892455189662
USD$14,495 HyperMotard S                      AU$  21995.00            1.517419799931011

Draw a line in the sand and assume that NFI will apply ~1.52 as a multiplier (which was sorta midrange for what they have applied with the other bikes):

which brings us to

Craigo's Uniformed Guesstimation
Street Fighter             USD$14 995 * 1.52 == 22792.40 ~Au$22995 +ORC
Street Fighter S            USD$18,995 * 1.52 == 28872.40 ~Au$28995 +ORC

Gimme a white Steet Fighter S with pipes upswept under the seats. I reckon you need do something with the Clutch and Front Brake reservoirs as well. And Ducati need to have a serious chat to the guy that designed the mirrors (pretty sure they are the same as the Monster 696/1100).

Actually BigT, you buy a SFS and I'll buy your Titanium off you. I know it's never been ridden in the rain Smiley

There is an awesome thread in General on the StreetFighter as well.

Like your logic Craig....  waytogo

So if the SF comes in at $29k and I thought $34k, I just made a saving of $5Gs (to spend on bling..... cheeky )........  coffee

Got to be happy with that.....  Grin

We shall see......  Roll Eyes

What's the 1198/s coming in at.
I think the S is close to $40k on the road and stocker is $34-ish.
So the SF might likely come in at $28-$29k stocker and $34-ish for the S.
Bring that the M1100s is $24k on the road, NFI logic would want decent separation between Monster and naked 1098.

From what I've heard they are selling bikes quicker than they can get them here.
Something like 10 Ducati's a day are walking out the door.

Prices for 1198 and 1198S RRPin Au and the US are as follows:

USD$21,795 1198S AU$33995 +ORC   1.559761413168158
USD$16,495 1198   AU$27995 +ORC   1.697180963928463

The newer Ducs seem to have higher Magic Numbers (probably an exchange rate thang). But even if you bump the Streetfighter and the Strettfighter S up by a $1000, they still seem reasonable (24k and 30K respectively).  I can't see the SFS being more expensive than the 1198S.

Either way I can't afford one unless I sell my soul (again).

I got my S4R T for $20k ride away. I thought the price was great in comparison to the Jap offerings of which the CB1000 was $22k ride away  Shocked

If the SF comes in at $24k ride away i'll buy one and give the S4 to my wife.

Mattyvas - There seems to be no shortage of interest in Ducati's. The dealer i got mine from has been absolutely jam packed on the weekends. Meanwhile my old flame MV Agusta is performing appallingly.

I have been looking at buying a 1098 to go with the S4R that I currently have but maybe the Street Fighter is the way to go.  With the price of a 1098 second hand still being in the $20ks I might just look at a new Street Fighter.  When do you reckon they might be available in Australia?
