hope you guys can help me with this one ...

I do have SC Project's GP EVO silencers on my 696 and was wondering if they also fit on a 1100.
Reckon the question really is if the exhaust manifolds of 696 and 1100 have the same diameter at the exhaust end.

Does any body know or has experience with putting 696 slip-ons on a 1100?

Thx
Andre

No, they do not.  I had my dealer check for me with the extra set of 696 termis they had.  The pipes are larger on the 1100.

thought so - damn

What's your experience with the 1100? Is the extra torque worth the extra money?
When I did a test ride I did not really enjoy the 4 cm higher siting position.

hell yeah.  there is no comparison.  front wheel lofts under acceleration in 1st and 2nd...and the SSS and dry clutch are a must.  the 1100DS motor is awesome.

it's not just the seat. the forks are longer, the rear suspension due to the swingarm is set taller. 1100 is not just an engine swap and a new seat.

... that's very much the experience I made on the test ride the other day ... yep, engine is so much more fun.
reckon the upgrade will be my next investment. if there only wouldn't be this super tight speed monitoring by my special friends Police here in Holland

I actually like the lower seating position - gives you at least the illusion of a lower barycenter - or maybe I am just small  Undecided
