Replacement Headlight Lense...

Searched the database to no avail...
'06 S2R...
Any sources for replacements that AREN'T the $300 dealer assemblies? I'm trying to recall if the Harley 7" lenses are the same, as I seem to recall that our stockers are slightly larger in diameter.
Considering the recent Thruxton Fairing thread, I'm thinking I need to check the local Triumph dealer, too.
I'd also LOVE to make this work...

Direction is appreciated.

I've been kicking that idea around for some time now.
Would look very cool.

How compatible would one of those Hella lights be? Easy to wire up? I'm going to follow this thread cause its always been on the "to do list"

Don't think the Hella lamp would be overly ridable (ridable=street legal), as there is no cutoff, and no hi-lo. So you'd REALLY need to be creative in the setup. You'd need to come up with an auxilliary lamp for basic nighttime riding. Maybe a couple good compact fogs.
In the mean time, the new lense I got from the BMW dealer is a bit clearer than my old one, and I'm going to paint the glare shield over the lamp so that it's black. I anticipate that, when off, the black painted glare shield will reflect off the reflector, and give a darkening effect. Without seeing the Hella in person, I figure this is similar to how it goes "black".
If it works as my feeble mind visualizes it will, I'll post a pic.

Desmoworld.de --> "S" --> Schienwerfer Glass --> Rund --> Monster clear-glass headlight.
I should have pics of it installed by next week!

Phenomenal. Zero issues.
I've switched between regular H4 bulb and an HID kit. (Don't like how much excess wire the HID bulb / ballast and whatnot has. If I had a faired bike, there'd be lots of places to hide it, but I do not.)
