The Busa went down on March 31st at 40 mph.  A black Chevy 1500 ran a red light and started a chain of events that led to my crash.  Slippery pavement and too much brake and there goes the front end  bang head  It was either that or have a collision.  I'll take a low side to a T-Bone any day.

I was wearing my gear (as always) and come out fairly unscathed. Nasty bruise on my left hip but that is it.  The Busa has about $1500 of damage, but none of it mechanical.  The Woodcraft engine case really saved the day!

My head hit so it was new helmet time.  My Vanson jacket almost completely wore through on the left forearm.  Not good.  My pants survived with no problems.  The palm on my left glove wore through but did not rash me.  This was my 2nd wreck with these gloves, but I am still disappointed in their failure.

Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.

Thanks  waytogo  No turkey and no stop.  I am just going to lick my wounds and fix the bike myself.  Catie about has the carbon fairing thing figured out so we should be able to make our own for it.  It is nice being married to an engineer   waytogo chug

What size gloves do you wear? I have some Kobe gloves that I bought used and they're too big across my palm... they say they're a medium but fit more like a large or xlarge in my opinion... I was gonna sell them... will offer discounts to DFM members.. Smiley

Glad you made it out relatively unharmed.  Can you post pics of the damaged gear and maybe the brand / model of each.
