I'm curious.  Did you just pull the prosecutor aside and ask what could be done to reduce it?  Or did you just say you where sorry to the judge and the prosecutor say the state would drop the fine? 

I've got to go to court next week for a ticket and I'm willing to pay the fine. I just want to do whatever I can to keep it off my record, as it is spotless.

if i didn't agree to the offer i would have had to go back another day
and that...... was NoT happening 

i am aware that my insurance might increase
but i'm not to worried about the points, this was my first ever ticket
