The Bridgestones were funny - sides of the front tyre were trashed but the centre was fine but for the rear the centre was shagged.....

I'm thinking it may be because I like to come into a corner fast(ish) and then get the bike upright before I give it full throttle on the exit. I don;t mind a bit of slipping when I am leaning over but not too much...

so what's the deal with the Diablo Rossos? I'm thinking about my next set and which way I should go..

Hey goldfish

I was always happy with the Pilot power sports and was reluctant to change.

But now I have changed I can see the benefits in the Corsa pro, it will take a while to get complete confidence back on them but for my type of riding I can see they will certainly do the job

The Diablo Rosso is now the new entry level sport tire.
Softer compound than the old one Pirelli Diablo Rosso

For me though I still wanted a change and had to try the Pilot Power,  very 
I'll see how many k's I get out of them and go from there.
I got around 10k from my Pirelli's pretty good but I was a bit shy on them for the first 6 months.

Hmmmmm, have absolutely no probs with the Pilots!! I ran them on my SV1000S and also on my WG RKT . And love them, but as I do a shitload of commuter K's I'm thinking of the dual compuonds Bridgies might extend the Pesos without sacrificing performance???
(Yes I want my cake and want to eat it too  )
Those that have tried both, watchya reckon?? I have used Bridgestones in the past on race bikes and big roadies and found them to very good, especially when pushed and giving plenty of warning of letting go unlike some other brands especially Dunlop.

Buy an old posty bike to commute tyres cost $30 each they get 8k out of them and they run on a smelly rag

The 200cc Honda ag bike motor goes straight into the CT110 frame, wow , what a tyre shredder that would make?? [moto]

I bloke I knew took the nitros off his car and strapped the bottle to the packrack of his postie and ran a hose directly into the carby bellmouth and set up a switch to the solenoid on his handle bars.
He took it out on a dirttrack circuit gave it the berries and then punched the button and "Hole Snapping Arseholes" Batman
It threw a rooster tail of dirt, twisted the frame like the piece of el dente s'getti that it is and took off like a scalded cat.
About 100 metres later the motor resembled a jigsaw puzzle with a couple of pieces missing .
Twas a cack!!!!! Nothing like laughing gas I reckon. Now that would be a commuter? [moto]

I am on my second Pilot Power on the rear and have tested a few different psi and found the following.

Remember that my results are influenced by the following:
~ My S4RT weight (and my weight)
~ My Suspension setup
~ The tire pressure gauge I use
~ My riding style
~ All tire pressures are taken cold in the morning before the ride for consistency.

<= 32 psi
The bike is a bit of handful in the corners. Need to work at laying it over. The closest I can describe it is like a flat tire. The faster you go the better it feels but still more of a handful to lay over.

= 34 psi
The sweet spot for me. Bike rolls into the corners and feels great on all surfaces.

>= 36 psi
Can feel a bit skittish. Especially on rough corners and the like of those tar strips (Old Pacific Highway). Throws into corners okay but can feel a little "slippery".

Great tire when dialed in. Will probably try the dual compound Pilot next time on the rear......
