Who all is going to the Indy MotoGP this year and where are you sitting/staying??  For everyone that shows up that is a part of the DMF, we should all try to meet up somewhere/sometime/somepoint and take a group shot for the DMF.

I'll start:

Wonderboy (DFWM): Stand E, Section B22, Row R, seat 24...staying at ???...will most likely be flying in.

Some guys were nice enough to take valuable time to get us ducatisti special stands and parking at the event.  If you're familiar with Ducati Island from the Luguna race, then it was somewhat similar to that, but not as exclusive.

It was a bit pricey (though I managed to get them for $50), but you do ride a duc and it was cool experience.

I'll be going again this year and will definitely get the Project Mugello tickets if they are available. I really enjoyed the experience last year even though it rained every day. I wanted to ride my bike last year but i knew the weather was going to be a problem due to the hurricane. This year i am taking my bike from DC  no matter what. I have even been thinking of buying a trailer and putting a hitch on my car just for the race.

Um, wasn't regular seating and Project Mugello both $125 for the weekend?

I will be in Ducati Island again.  Wearing my 'free' t-shirt today as a matter of fact.

Probably camp near the main entrance again, it was a blast.

I was thinking of going. Being new to Ducati as well as watching more and more racing on SPEED, i may head down. I'm only 3 hours away in southwest Michigan. I see you all seem to have different preferences on seating and stuff. General admition cheap?? anyone riding from michigan that wants to meet up?

sounds like a fun weekend. may have to work friday though

yea I guess, but with gen admission you can pretty much sit ANYWHERE by Sunday, as on race day the kids checking tickets and what not dont give a crap anymore, so doing it a second time i'm going gen admin.
btw i'd love to take the owners of this site out for a steak dinner on me, friday or saturday night or we could do the hoooters there in town.
the party they throw there on saturday night is a lot of fun, bikes all over tons of bars [beer] [drink] [wine] [leo] [leo] [leo]

Gen. admission was $50 I think.  Grandstands and boxes were $75 and up iirc.  I liked the project Mugello seats b/c I was guaranteed a seat in Ducati Island over a decent section of track.  Ducati Island was by far the main attraction at Indy.  Everywhere else was kind of hokey.  The night life was good, the city went out of there way to accommodate motos by shutting down 10 blocks of main street for two wheel parking only.  The surprise of the weekend, for me, was watching the AMA dirt track races($10)  Pretty cool stuff.

I highly recommend riding in.  We camped and had an absolute blast.  Good people everywhere you turned.

The stands were pretty desolate b/c it was a new event, no one was sure about the crowd it would attract, and a hurricane was blowing through.  I think things will change as the event gains popularity, so I wouldn't bank on general admission having free reign like last year.

I'll be in, but with a friend who rides a Honda, so no Project Mugello for me  ;D. We already have tix, but I don't remember where. Hopefully no hurricane this year  [thumbsup]
Would definitely be up for dinner or a meet up.

ducati island was cool I guess, too packed in that tent and people were all sort of like "ohh look at me i ride ducati and wear red im kewl" thats the vibe i got.. the stand was in a terrible spot you couldnt see much of teh race, i prefer the straight with the jumbo trons right in your face.
