The 250's have always been great racing...

As for the motoGP, it's turning into F1 on two wheels!!!  They have mucked with the formula to much..  The field is to small and the difference in lap times is vast...  1 second covered 7 bikes in Qatar MotoGP qualifying compared to 17 bikes in Qatar SBK Superpole 1....

Regardless of that I hope Casey has a great year and regains the title...  But I want him to fight for it with more than just Valentino...

Agreed! I'm waiting for the spec ECU announcement....
I think there's a real risk of motoGP fading away with interest in wsbk gaining in popularity...

I too hope that motogp is more than a vale / casey show, time will tell... jorge has promise, just needs to stay on the bike this year!

Despite Hobart being a capital city we don't qualify for One HD. We do however get TDT which has some 10 and 7 coverage. I suspect you can't get any digital tv Bazz. Would you get a signal with a set top box?

thats right techno no digital signal out here and never will be so we are being told , bazz

Thats the trade off for living so close to great roads. A small price to pay.

BTW you have PM.

OK, so I set the recorder for the first race - rained out  Roll Eyes Took the advice given by channel ten guys and set the recorder again for this morning, and what do I get - three hours of tele marketing, self help and God botherers  bang head Bazz, you aint the only one who lives far enough from civilisation to be in the dark  - Wollongong doesn't get channel one until August this year... Cry
I know the result of the race - ironically thanks to Channel ten news  Roll Eyes And no, I won't spring for Foxtel cause its just offensive to have to pay to watch most of the cr@p on tv.

Thanks, I feel better now. ducsport

If you go here....

http://www.justin.tv/azoto

You can watch the race and all practice and qualifying live.. waytogo

The quality is OK but the commentary is in German!!!!

I only found it on the week-end so I'm not sure if they do the SBK as well....

You can negotiate with them... well in my case i was going to council foxtel all together and i did, sadly as would miss some races. but that's all we watch. anyhow they rang back and asked 'what's the problem' and I said we only watch the gp and wsbk so couldn't justify bla bla...
....so they offered me min package plus all sports for free....so fox is back on!!

anybody try the motogp fantasy league?

out here in the banjo country we dont get none of that city slicker stuff  cheeky
I know how you feel Bazz. I was down in country Vic (not far from Heather) visiting my family for Easter. They have just only got 7 and 9 (actually the country equivalent) digital signals, with no sign of ONE HD as yet. Southern Cross 10 is only broadcasting 1 signal, so we couldn't even get the SD version of ONE HD. (is that Digital 12?)

I tried to keep my ears closed about the race hoping a mate recorded it. I only found out yetserday is was delayed and my (so-called) mate deleted his recording of it.

And we didn't get the delayed version out here either.  Buying a set top box won't fix it (although I have just bought one for the ABC2 programs)  We will not be getting ONE HD in the near future.  I don't watch enough tv to warrant getting Austar and don't know if that help me anyway.    And not geeky enough to do the bit torrent thing (sorry geeks  Kiss) Grin

It disappoints me that motorbike sport supporters are shown so much contempt by TV companies.   Used to happen in the West too.  My boyfriend at the time used to love the scathing letters I wrote to WIN TV about their uselessness.  Didn't get me anywhere though.

Sounds like it wasn't a very thrilling race though so I'm not losing any sleep about it.  Will just be thankful for any of the races we may be lucky to receive.  But I hope that someone (Rossi included) can challenge Casey just to make it interesting.
