Hi all, here's those pic's.
That looks amazing, how wide did you make that stripe? Did you use the veneer or make a mold on the tank? Thanks for the great inspiration.

No worrys. Yeah havent done the tank yet, its next on list of things to do, thats why im leaving it to last, I havent desided to eather make a mold of tank or just stick C/B (carbon fibre) straight on to tank and paint clear to fill C/B, sand back clear, paint etc.
Stripe is 112mm total with the thin stripes being 3mm wide. /3/3/100/3/3/ if that make sense

Either way you're going to have a ridge at the edge that might be tough to fill with clear.
Maybe blend the carbon edge with resin?

Getting a straight edge without it looking frayed is tough to do.

The actual edge of the carbon would be past what shows. The edge would be created by the tape line.

yep excatly There are edges with the paint any way
I just need a tank or something to practice on first.
It's still good riding wheather at the moment over here so I wont do the tank straight away
Have a look at this, this sorta what I had in mind.
How to cover parts in carbon fiber (fibre) by skinning or wrapping

OK Curiosity killed the cat, started some experimental ideas on some plastic tube, first one basicaly same as youtuube demo, but the edges did stick up, I have sanded them down but could be a lota sanding doing the tank.
Next idea was same process as first but then put same gladwrap over carbon then wrap some duc tape around to compress resin and hopefully hold edges down as resin sets. Well the edges are down nice but have got a tape pattern in the resin.
