You're pressing buttons and looking at your iPhone while riding? and eating fried chicken at the same time. of course. yes, the iPhone is that good. it is christ's answer to the missing temp gauge. More so than obama is christ's answer for America. |

I ride at & below freezing temps on a regular basis. If I know the temps will be under 40 (via weather on local news or checking it online for the estimates for the day) I assume I could encounter ice. I've ridden home in the snow before ~

I have found that the air temp gauge on the 696 is great for observing the delta between the oil cooler! It was 99F here today!!! While riding on the street my air temp said it was 117F!! So I suppose from where the oil cooler is to where the air temp sensor is mounted in slow traffic there is a delta of 18F..... It sounds like your old high school math class.... Johnny rides his 696 Monster from his hometown to the race track. He travels an average speed of 20 MPH. The ambient air temperature is 99F. His useless air temp senor indicates 117F. What is the difference?

Temps can vary widely in the mountains at different locations and different times of the day. My bicycle has a thermometer on it. One ride I did 2 weeks ago I saw temps from 33 to 81. Today they varied from 55 to 100. And the other answer is...you are way too spoiled living in San Diego.  |

Your ability to think outside this thread\forum is only surpassed by foresight in knowing what the vast majority of Ducatisti desire in a motorcycle. I feel better now for not letting it be known my secret wish for a gear position indicator be included. One can only guess at the weight savings this would afford.  |

Go buy the Termi Full exhaust system with Racing Evo ECU and........ viola!!! The air temp readout is baaaaaack - just as it was on your 696. And just as useful too |
