The GSA also has lots of the optional crash protection from the GS as well as 3-4 more gallons of fuel capacity.

I rode an RT a while back and loved it for a touring bike. I'd definitely like a BMW.

+1

By the time you add all the features that the adv comes with, a regular gs with aftermarket stuff would cost more and not be as nice. For example - crash bars, engine head protectors, fog lights, spoke wheels, 8 gallon tank, taller windscreen, enduro transmission with a lower 1st gear, etc.  The adv also has better paint schemes IMO.

With that said, I would probably get a standard gs though since there is about a 5 grand difference, and some of those features I don't care about.

the cool thing is that bmw finally wised up and is now selling a lowered gs 1200 model that has something like a 31 inch seat height, basically in teh store i was able to at least easily sit on it and actualyl it wasnt' that bad, the acdnvertur i cant' even tip toe on.  so it was very smart of thme, i see them selling tons of the lowered gs models this year if the economy was better.
