I think you need to completely describe said girl for us to determine squidliness.
ding ding ding... we have a winner.  ;D

well i'm sure if you ride a gxr 6 with soft compound tires hard then yes, tires will get expensive after a while, afterall a good gxr and an s4 probably put out around the same hp and take around the same tire size possibly, so if you ride it relatively hard then yes you will wear out tires quickly, heck people on this board sometimes only get 3k miles out of tires.

I didnt mention it but it was a girl who I was talking to.

Walked away?!?!?

Correct thing to say: "Let's discuss rubber, outfits and riding positions later tonight"

If she is anything like the squid girl that was with the stunt guys here in Phoenix, her pants were off and was walking around in front of hundreds of people naked...

I was expecting to hear her say she rides a 14 ,or a turbo busa or something that may warrent a fffff. And yes she was cute but that did not make up for the incredibly brutal rambling I was listening to. Besides the fact she she insulted my bike I decided it best to walk away before I got rude. So what I gather here is the bikes are close in comparison performance wise. Only I doubt people will stare at a gsx passing by or parked in a lot as often as they do a Monster. [thumbsup]

I think she was testing you, flirting.  Sounds like she was up for some banter or verbal sparring before you stormed off...

I can't speak for the S4R but how's this. I had a super tricked up 2003 999 which I sold because of some general unhappiness with the electronics. Later I bought a 2008 GSX-R750.  The 750 is overall a better street bike & handles a bit better too. Faster than a 600 I reckon too. Despite it's quirks the 999 was more fun to ride & I miss it. The S4R has better torque and it's own unique sound and feel that the Suzuki will never have. Don't sweat it.
No modification goes unpunished. Memento mori.  Good people drink good beer.  Things happen pretty fast at high speeds.

It's all up to your will level, your thrill level and your skill level.  Everything else is just fluff.

breakdown

If you wanted to one up the level of doucheness, you could have just said something along the lines of "Yeah but it's not a Ducati".  Depends if you want to sink to their level or not.

For what it's worth, my brothers S4RS will smoke a 600.  He was pulling away from a kid on a brand new r6 even at top speeds.

I don't even acknowledge the existence of japanese bikes.  It's a non-issue.
