Factory darks are in fact single stage....no clear.

Not exactly. The Dark is sold at a cheaper price. It is the base model. It is sold at a cheaper price and has lower grade specs so that you can "mod" it more. waytogo

as much as I love my dark, and would likely repaint it  a very similar "color" if given the opportunity, I hate that it scratches so easily and ya can't take a buffer to it  Undecided  and I really don't like tank pads...
