Thanks for the input , I am going southeast of Houston to the Clear Lake area, it's about 1600 miles. I got a couple of bids on uship.com for about $700 for both bikes, so far thats the best I have found.

I just shipped my '97 M900 from Long Island (NY) to Albuquerque. 8 days from pickup at the shop where it was serviced to my door in ABQ. The shop, Supermoto Italia, St. James, NY, uses an outfit called Key Express. This is the 3rd bike I've shipped with them  (the first 2 to Florida). Cost about $550. They specialize in shipping bikes. When my bike was delivered the other day, there were 5 others in the trailer. They have specialized rigs to carry the bikes in the trailer. I've been very satisfied with their service.
Nobody said that I did. Everyone says that I would.

Cool, thanks.

I'm riding from Dallas to Las Vegas and back in a few weeks, riding straight there and straight back in the span of a week and a half, with some good side trips. Total mileage roundtrip will be 2800mi. I suggest grow a pair and do the ride. Could be some of the best memories ever.

I am thinking about going back to Texas for a few months and I want to take my two bikes, does anyone have any information on what it might cost to have my bikes shipped from California to Texas, and who I should get in contact with for this service?

Thanks for responding.

Monstermamania,

Check out Shippingmasters for other options and some very good general information about shipping, particularly bonding and insuring.   See: <http://www.shippingmasters.com/>

It's got nothing to do with "growing a pair".  I have two bikes to get there and a truck pulling a trailer of tools, so I'm driving the truck pulling the tools and i need to ship the bikes.

i just had an idea.

this could potentially be one of the coolest/strangest/least useful side hacks ever.

get bike#2 attached to bike#1.
50% fewer gas stops!
plus you can load up the bike you're not riding with your tools!  [thumbsup]

i didn't say it was a good idea
