Along with Chris's very good information.
be prepared for a nice price premium for Deus to do any work for you.
Not that I don't like what they do, I am a fan of the bikes they put out. It's just that you do very much pay for them.
And I know what everyone is thinking, that we are Ducati owners.
But when they bring in a $4000k Yamie SR400 and turn them round for more than triple that

A $4 Million Yamaha!

And then they sell it for $12 Million!  Shocked

I cannot stress this enough,

They are half action Suzuki, half Mambo founder. Neither interested in furthering the cause, legend and good experience motorcycling is.

The stuff they sell can be obtained from alternate sources and for prices that make anyone who bought from that chopshop cry...

For custom exhaust work try Foran, pretty much guarantee that's where they source it. http://www.dropbears.com/f/foran/index.htm

Please do not give these shi#heads any of your hard earned,

Yeah, sorry about the rant guys. Had a mate that was the ideas man behind the original idea. Once the shop was set up, they treated him pretty shabbilly. The boot to put it mildly.

Even worked there a couple of days, and can verify the attitude- bad

Funny thing is, I stopped in Tokyo on my way back from my Europe honeymoon, stopped by the motorcycle strip in Ueno, felt like stepping through the doors of deush, everything has been copied from the streets of Tokyo, and a LOT cheaper.

I suppose there is no original ideas, but...

And it shits me they now have bicycles too, at ridiculous prices

As I said before a 4k bike becomes 12k+ with about 3k's worth of gear on it.
I have met them and done a few shoots with them.
Dare ex Mambo founder, nice guy just likes bikes.
Rob Action Suzuki, wanted to set something up at a very healthy premium.

1 rag trader with heaps of cash from selling Mambo
1 bike guy who can source parts

= cool looking bikes for very cool $$$

And yes Rich you are exactly right all the ideas come out of Japan and the mod bike scene there.
Nothing is really new they just buy it well, bolt it on and sell it even better.

"Its also alters the sound enough to notice, so if you really like your current sound, be ready for a change."
Do you mean note or loudness or both ?
bsbd
feral
Both, because the lenght of the overall distance the exhausted power pulses will now travel can alter it in an unknow way. Pretty well much suck it and see as the only way to know "what distance header will cause what change in sound" is with tricky maths and a comprehensive understanding of Ducati's power cycle. Even then the top fab shops have to do alot of R&D to get "their sound"...
As far as Deus goes, rather have them than not, hence get 2 or 3 more quotes, just so you don't feel ripped. - Chris
