yeah i'm thinking about doing that next. how hard is it to get all the pipes off? and what type of place does ceramic coating? does a powder coating place do that?
Sorry to threadjack...
So getting the front pipe off is a breeze, the back one is needs an elbow connector and an extension of about 5 - 6 inches. Should have no problem. I used the smaller 1/4 inch socket drivers, much easier. The hardest part are the O2 sensors. the front one is a pain, you have to get the pipe loose from both ends to push it back (towards the rear tire) enough to get at it. Second one is easy once the front pipe is off. Dont forget you are connected down by the rearset. Lastly, you gotta move the fuel tank enough to get at the two bolts that hold the support under the seat. Nothing major, just rock the tank out of its seats and slip a hex in there.
I'll do a more detailed write up soon.
I got my CC done at a place that specializes in PC... Keep an eye out for places that do lots of Harley work, thats how I found mine. About a 10% of the places that I found doing PC also did CC. Make sure they do exhaust, they did the inside and outside on mine. It cost less than $150 and took about a week because they only do color runs once a week and I missed the black day.
