I noticed last night that the top half of my speedometer lost its backing light... the bike in question is a 2001 M750 with the second generation gauge (speedo + tach) before the needles swept with the FI bikes...

does anyone have experience digging into the cluster?  difficulty of replacing the burnt bulb?  DIY anywhere?

Thanks,
Jeff

HeMan pulled his apart and redid his LEDs just recently.  Thread should be pretty easy to find.

the older guages (from what i hear) have a incandecent bulb in the unit, so its a simple swap. the only issue becomes cracking them open, the older gauges AFAIK are a PITA to crack open.
