Well the speedy moto look really good but the only concern it will be if your belt jumps and you will f... up your engine, we have one in the shop with that problem, imoho

I just finished by belt covers.

I like them much better than the gray. Used a Dremel to cut the belt covers. I bought plastic gutter guard. Cut it to fit. Painted it and Voila! I am very pleased with myself

How did you guys paint your belt covers? I'm trying to go for a mate black look. I have no experience painting. Would you recommend I take it to a paint shop. Or could I practice with a few stuff and then do my belt covers?

I used satin black for plastic, I think I bought it at home depot. Just do light coats to avoid runs and your good to go. I might have the actual paint can in the basement I'll look and get you the name and manufacturer.

They look cool but also look like they would "funnel" debris into the pulleys....

The one on the right has a little trouble with cracking at the screws that hold the Lexan in place, not as bad as the plexiglass that I used, but still had some small cracks. They were small enough at on the bike you wouldn't notice them at all. The one on the left I glued in place with high temp rtv.  Tempurature wise they are fine, no problems. The only other problem was the main center pulley just barely rubs, but I figure it will just were down the lexan and fit perfect. If I had put a small washer behind the cover it wasn't have touched at all.

What's the thickness of the Lexan you used ? Last year I asked around for scratch and heat resistant Lexan, but the thinnest I could find was 3mm. I can't imagine having that much room in there, so didn't go ahead with this mod.

I used 3 mm (1/8"). It was the thinest I could find.

I have 05 S2R.  I am surprised that the company would make stock belt and sprocket covers that look so shitty.  Who in the design department created this nonsense?  And then, they roll a pre-production model off the line and nobody stares at it saying,"What in the f**k kind of shit is that covering the belts and sprocket?"  "Did those come from Buell?"

looks good i think the monstrack mirrors would go really well with those.
